Welcome to indieDEV (“we”, “our”, “us”). indieDEV provides workflow automation tools that allow users to connect their Google services (Google Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and Google user profile) to automated processes. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information required to provide and maintain the automation service.

1.1 Google Account Information

When you connect a Google account via OAuth, we receive basic profile information necessary to identify your account and run automations:

Full name
Google email address
Google account ID

2. Data Accessed Through Google OAuth

Depending on the features you enable, indieDEV may request access to one or more Google APIs such as:

Google Sheets API
Google Drive API
Gmail API
Google Docs API
Google Calendar API
Google User Profile (email, name)

We only access the data necessary to execute your workflows and only with your explicit consent.

3. What We Store (Minimal Storage)

indieDEV follows a minimal-storage model to maximize privacy while providing a reliable automation service.

We store:

OAuth refresh tokens — encrypted and used only to refresh access tokens required to run automations.
Authorized scopes — which permissions you granted.
Workflow configuration and settings — the definitions of automations you create (no content included).
Resource IDs — file, folder, spreadsheet, or document IDs selected in your workflows (IDs only, not file content).
Automation logs — text-based logs and metadata for debugging and support (no stored file or message content).
Technical metadata — timestamps, status codes, execution metadata for reliability and auditability.

We do not store:

Contents of Drive files, documents, or attachments
Spreadsheet cell values or full sheet contents
Email bodies or attachments
Calendar event details
Any user-generated content processed by a workflow

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

Run and maintain your automations
Authenticate and connect your Google account
Provide operational support and debugging
Ensure service functionality and reliability

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your data is shared only between:

You (the account owner)
indieDEV (service provider)
Google APIs (as explicitly authorized by you)

6. Data Security

We apply industry-standard protections to keep your data safe, including:

Encryption for stored OAuth tokens (AES-256 or equivalent)
HTTPS-only communication for all network traffic
Access controls and audit logging for internal systems
Regular security reviews and updates

While no online system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Data Retention

We retain only the minimal data required to provide the service. You can delete your account, disconnect your Google account, or remove workflows at any time. When you delete data, associated configuration, tokens, and logs will be removed in accordance with our deletion procedures.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Delete your personal data
Withdraw or revoke Google OAuth permissions
