Terms of Service (ToS)
Last updated: 29/11/2025
Welcome to indieDEV (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the indieDEV automation services (the “Service”), including both self-service automations and managed automation services. By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
1. Description of the Service
indieDEV provides automation tools and managed services that allow users to connect Google services (Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar) to workflows for processing and automating tasks. The Service includes:
- Self-service automation execution via Google OAuth
- Managed automation setup and support for clients
- Temporary data processing through n8n
- Storage of workflow configuration, resource IDs, tokens (encrypted), and text-based logs
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at our discretion.
2. Eligibility
You may use indieDEV only if you are at least 18 years old, comply with applicable laws in Bangladesh and elsewhere, and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of any entity you represent. You may not use the Service on behalf of another party unless you have the authority to bind them to these Terms.
3. Google OAuth and API Access
By connecting your Google account you grant indieDEV the permissions you authorize via OAuth. We use OAuth access only to:
- Run your automations
- Refresh access tokens
- Maintain workflow functionality
- Provide support and debugging
You can revoke OAuth permissions at any time via Google: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation will disable automations that depend on those permissions.
4. Data Processing and Storage
indieDEV follows a minimal-data storage model. Details:
Temporary processing
We may temporarily process data required to execute workflows, including spreadsheet data, Drive file content, Gmail content, calendar event data, and Google Docs content.
Long-term storage (what we keep)
- OAuth refresh tokens (encrypted)
- Workflow configuration and settings (no content)
- Resource IDs (file/folder/spreadsheet/document IDs only)
- Text-based automation logs and error metadata
What we do not store
- File contents, spreadsheet cell values, or full sheet contents
- Email bodies or attachments
- Calendar event details
- Google Docs text/content
All processing occurs within n8n systems and is temporary and non-persistent unless explicitly stored as described above.
5. Acceptable Use Policy (Strict)
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Violate any local, national, or international law
- Violate Google’s Terms of Service or API policies
- Send spam or unsolicited messages via Gmail or other channels
- Abuse, overload, or exploit Google services or our systems
- Upload, transmit, or automate harmful, illegal, or infringing content
- Interfere with security, integrity, or availability of the Service
- Create deceptive, fraudulent, or malicious workflows
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts or access if we reasonably suspect abuse or policy violations.
6. Managed Automations
For clients who engage our managed automation services, we may request temporary access to your Google resources to configure or test workflows. We do not store client content beyond workflow configuration and metadata. We provide managed services “as is” and do not guarantee the accuracy of automated results — clients remain responsible for reviewing and validating outputs.
7. Payment Terms (Future Support)
We may offer paid plans or subscriptions in the future. If and when paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, refund policies, and other payment terms will be presented to you and will govern paid usage. Continued use after pricing changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.
8. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Automations may fail due to Google API limits, network outages, third-party outages, or other interruptions. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. You agree that indieDEV is not liable for downtime or data loss beyond the limits set in these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability (Balanced)
To the maximum extent permitted under Bangladesh law:
- indieDEV is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of automated actions.
- You are responsible for verifying outputs of your workflows.
Our maximum aggregate liability for direct damages arising from or related to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim. If you have not paid for services, our maximum liability is BDT 0.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (without liability) if you breach these Terms, misuse Google services, create harmful or illegal workflows, or otherwise present a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your access to automations and stored configurations will end; you may delete your configurations and revoke OAuth permissions via Google.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you via email or through our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
